Privacy Policy
This is Vinn's plain-English privacy policy. We're an NZ business and we follow the Privacy Act 2020. If anything here isn't clear, email support@vinn.co and a real person will reply.
Who we are
Vinn is a practical AI implementation partner for New Zealand founders and entrepreneurs, based in Wellington. Vinn runs three trademarked programmes, Wired™ (a six week cohort), Vinn Blueprint™ (a 1:1 advisory engagement), and The Vinn Operator™ (an accreditation for people implementing Vinn methods inside other businesses). Behind the scenes, our AI engine is called Mempra. When we say "we", "us" or "Vinn" on this page, that's the entity you're dealing with.
What we collect
- Assessment responses. Your answers to the free AI Assessment, your region, and an optional business type description.
- Programme and session registrations. When you register for the Voice Brief Workshop, an AI Bottleneck Breakthrough Session, a Wired™ cohort, a Vinn Blueprint™ engagement, or The Vinn Operator™ intake, we collect your name, email, business description, the programme or session you selected, and any notes you share about what you're trying to solve.
- Account details. If you create a Vinn account, your email address, name, and any sign-in identifiers from Google if you use Google sign-in.
- Member activity. Which programme you're in, which milestones you've ticked, and which content you've viewed inside the dashboard, so we can save your progress.
- Communications. Anything you send us, like enquiries or support emails.
- Basic technical data. Standard web server logs (IP address, browser, page requested, timestamp) for security and to keep the site running.
We don't ask for, and we don't want, any sensitive personal information.
Why we collect it
- To give you your AI Assessment result and the personalised next steps that go with it.
- To register you for the programme or session you've picked, send you the joining details, and follow up afterwards.
- To run your member dashboard and remember where you got to.
- To email you about your account, your programme, and occasional updates you can unsubscribe from at any time.
- To improve the assessment, the content, and the Vinn experience.
- To meet legal obligations.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of trusted providers to actually run the service, covering sign-in, database hosting, website hosting, image hosting, email delivery, and the AI models that power Mempra, which drafts your personalised AI Assessment guide and supports the programme experience. We share only what each one needs to do their job, and we never sell your information to anyone. We're happy to tell you which specific providers we use at any time, just email us.
Where it's stored
Our database is hosted in a major cloud region and your information may be transferred outside New Zealand for processing by the providers described above. We only work with providers who are required to uphold the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 and recognised international data protection standards (such as the EU GDPR, ISO/IEC 27001, and SOC 2). Wherever your information goes, the expectation is the same, it must be protected to at least the standard required by NZ law.
How long we keep it
We keep your AI Assessment result, programme records, and account information for as long as your account is active, plus a reasonable period afterwards in case you come back. You can ask us to delete it earlier at any time.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- Show you what information we hold about you.
- Correct anything that's wrong.
- Delete your account and the information attached to it.
- Stop emailing you (every email also has a one-click unsubscribe).
Email support@vinn.co and we'll action it within a reasonable timeframe, usually a few working days.
Cookies
We use the smallest set of cookies we can. The most important one is the session cookie our sign-in provider sets so you stay signed in. We don't run third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
Children
Vinn is built for adults running businesses. It isn't intended for anyone under 18, and we don't knowingly collect information from children.
Changes
If we update this policy in a way that materially affects you, we'll let you know by email or via a notice on the site. The "last updated" date at the top will always reflect the current version.
